Gay Men Over 50: It’s Time to Find Your People
Catch the Podcast on Your Preferred Channel

What does it take to rebuild your life—and find your people—after 50?
In this episode of The Wisdom Trust, Loren Crawford talks with Steven Nofziger, a 55-year-old gay father whose journey has included a conservative religious upbringing, coming out later in life, rebuilding family relationships, moving across the country, finding love, and creating a new community.
When Steven moved to Boston, he made a decision: he was going to show up.
He joined a gay ski club, a tennis group, a running group, and Gay Fathers of Greater Boston. Slowly, those experiences became friendships, belonging, and a new life.
Today, Steven helps create the kind of community he once needed himself.
Loren and Steven also talk about the “second adolescence” some men experience when coming out later, sobriety, joy, creativity, staying active, friendship, resilience, and the wisdom we inherit from gay men who came before us.
At the heart of this conversation is a simple challenge:
Finding your people requires showing up.
