Coming Home to Yourself: Sex, Desire and What You Really Want
Choose Your Podcast Platform

What happens when the life you’ve built looks good from the outside—but inside, you feel like you’re disappearing?
In this episode of The Wisdom Trust, Loren Crawford talks with UK-based sex and intimacy coach Michael Dresser about sex, touch, pleasure, desire, and what it means to come home to yourself.
Approaching 40, Michael had a long-term relationship, successful career, beautiful home, friends and an active social life. But he describes feeling as though he were suffocating.
Leaving that life began a much deeper journey.
Michael rediscovered his sexuality and his relationship with his body. He spent time deliberately single. He began listening to what he calls his “inner compass.” And he started asking a question many of us may lose touch with over the years:
What do I actually want?
Loren and Michael also explore intimacy and touch, pleasure beyond orgasm, old patterns that once protected us, the difference between feeling pulled toward something and feeling that we “should” do something, and why letting go of fixed outcomes can open unexpected doors.
For gay men over 50, this conversation offers a different way to think about sexuality—not as something separate from the rest of life, but as one possible part of connection, authenticity and being fully alive.
If this conversation opens something up for you, join The Wisdom Trust community for more important conversations with gay men over 50 about connection, friendship, purpose, aging and living more consciously.
